WhatsApp (WhatsApp) is currently developing a number of exciting new features to enhance its service. The chat app has lately been spotted testing a new feature that allows users to import their chat history from Android to iOS. Earlier, WhatsApp made the switch from iOS to Samsung (Samsung), and the ability to transfer chat history from Pixel phones had begun.
Earlier today, WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart (Will Cathcart) revealed that the software would soon have the option to sync messages between Android and iOS devices. It was a hassle for Android and iOS users to transfer their chat history until WhatsApp launched the chat migration feature.
The old chat was lost when I upgraded to a newer operating system. Nonetheless, things are simpler now, thanks to WhatsApp. Conversations started on an iPhone can now be imported to a Samsung smartphone. The messaging service now works with Pixel devices. In addition, it was theorized that chat migration functionality will soon be available for phones operating on Android 12.
WhatsApp’s Chat Migration Feature Is Currently In Testing
According to the latest changes, WhatsApp is now putting the ability to transfer chats from Android to iOS through its paces. Wabetanifo discovered the latest version, 2.21.20.11, of WhatsApp Beta for Android. The WhatsApp iOS beta was reportedly seen with the “Import chat history from Android” option. The captured image demonstrates how WhatsApp will first request permission before actually beginning the import of the chat history. Wabetainfo reports that this functionality is not yet available but is in development for a future upgrade.
And in the beta version of the desktop software, it was seen that WhatsApp is working on the ability to pause and resume voice communications. Users in the beta version of WhatsApp can already preview audio messages before they are sent to the desktop, and now they will be able to pause and resume recordings as well. You can preview your voice note before sending it, delete it, or even start recording again with this function.
WhatsApp for iOS already has the ability to pause and resume playback. It has not yet been released on Android Beta but will be in the near future. These enhancements are still in development and not yet ready for a stable release.
