Highlights of the Trips

  • Exploration of unique sherpa culture and tradition of the people living in the high himalayan region.
  • Great views of some of the mountains like Mount Everest, Mount Kanchenjunga, Mount Lhotse, Makalu and many other mountains in the region.
  • Trekking up to the Pikey Peak for the mesmerizing Sunrise view.

Pikey peak climbing is one of the off-beat trekking in Nepal, lying in the Solu region of Nepal which is around the Everest Region showers with an amazing and fascinating view of the Everest Region Mountains. This trek has been recently opened for trekkers to trek and it is regarded as the best way to view the spectacular Everest. Yet least preferred by most travelers it was Sir Edmund Hillary’s best spot to view the Everest.
The name Pikey is derived from the Sherpa community in the Everest Region. For now, pikey peak climbing is one of the best options to feel Everest without any crowd. Furthermore, it has a more spectacular view of mountain ranges starting from Kanchenjunga region in the far east side to the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Region mountains on the far western side of the viewpoint.
This region has the view of mountains like Mt. Everest, Gauri Shankar, Lhotse, Nuptse,  Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Mera Peak and a portion of Ama Dablam. This trail makes travelers interact with the Sherpa Community without the chaos of Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp Trek in the Everest Region.
Pikey Peak Climbing is designed with an itinerary of 8 days minimizing the risk of Altitude sickness to the travelers.

Pikey Peak Difficulty

Pikey Peak climbing takes you up to the height of 4160m above the sea level with accommodation in mostly Tea houses. People willing to trek in this region must be physically and mentally capable in order to successfully complete the trek,
For those willing to undertake a Pikey Peak Trekking, even for a one-shot adventure, it’s not enough to just show up with your gear and guidebook.  You must be physically and mentally prepared to achieve the height and the distance, as there are not any quick exits from the side of a mountain.
So if you are planning to take on a peak, we suggest you spend an appropriate amount of time and energy to prepare yourself to face the challenge that mountains put on you.
Jogging, Running, Swimming and Leg exercise few weeks prior to the trek would be appropriate physical training to prepare yourself for the trek.
Also make a Pikey Peak Trek Map handy and consider reading Pikey Peak blog before starting the journey.
