The 2022 Hero Optima CX series of electric scooters from Hero Electric is almost ready for release in India. To prepare consumers for the launch, the transportation department’s official website has posted the lineup’s anticipated pricing and specifications.
The 2022 lineup of Hero Optima CX vehicles will consist of two trim levels, one of which will be a high-mileage variant ideal for cross-country trips. The exteriors of the new line-up have been reimagined, and their internal workings have been upgraded to be more efficient.
The Hero Optima is available in either the CX or ER trim. The Optima CX family is designed for commuters, but those interested in extra power and versatility should look at the ER (extended range) variants.
The new Optima CX e-scooter series will have major upgrades over the current Optima HX series. As a result of the models’ enhanced functionality, their battery packs will be significantly more powerful than those of the Optima HX series. Single battery packs will be standard for Optima CX models, while a dual-battery configuration will be available on ER versions. On top of the improved mechanics, we hope the new Hero Optima CX models will also be more aesthetically pleasing. The new versions will include electric motors that are both more powerful and more compact than their predecessors.
The 2022 Hero Optima CX has a range of 82 kilometres when powered by a single 52.2 volt/ 30 amp-hour battery, while the CX ER has a range of 140 kilometres and can reach speeds of up to 45 kilometres per hour. Over the previous generation, improvements in braking, durability, and overall balance have exceeded 25%. The Optima CX and CX ER scooters of 2022 have upgraded functions like cruise control, LED lighting, walk aid, reverse mode, a remote key, and anti-theft alarms.
We have yet to see official pricing for the 2022 Hero Optima CX/CX ER variants. Their costs will likely be higher than comparable models, though, because of the significant upgrades they offer over the Optima HX. The base price of an Optima HX is Rs. 55,850 ($735), with the price of the extended-range model being Rs. 65,640 ($864). The actual release date of the 2022 Hero Optima CX range in India has not yet been announced.
