Using Video Manager
Step 1 Access your account
The first thing you have to do when you want to add music to your YouTube video is to access your YouTube account. Go to the official YouTube page and click on the option to access your account located in the upper right part of the screen. There they will ask you to enter your Gmail account and password. After this, you will be able to see your profile picture at the top right of the screen. Click on your photo and you will be able to access the Creator Studio option . Click on that button.
Step 2 Choose the video
Search your video channel.You can do this in the videos tab of your profile page or by clicking Video Manager in the bar on the left. It will take you directly to the videos you have uploaded. Choose the video in which you want to insert background music.
Step 3 Choose the music
Click the edit option next to the video you want to edit. This will directly open the YouTube editing tool. At the top of the page there are different commands that you can run to edit the video: you can enhance it, add audio, annotate it, create flashcards, add subtitles, and add copyright. Click on the audio option. This will take you to the music library that you want to add to your video.
Step 4 Find the right music
The next thing you have to do to add music to your YouTube video is to find the right music for your video. You will also need to make sure that the length of the music track perfectly matches that of your video. To do this, click on the drop-down menu that says ‘Top Tracks’ and you will see the different genres of music. If you already have a music in mind, you just have to write the title in the search field and hit intro.

Step 5 Add the chosen music

Step 6 Edit the music
