Exciting Times Ahead with the Return of the Future Games Show

The Future Games Show is set to make its grand return this spring, specifically on March 20, 2025, coinciding with the Game Developers Conference (GDC). Additionally, the same day will see the debut of the ‘FGS Live from GDC’ broadcast.

This Spring Showcase promises an array of exclusive game demos, trailers spanning both major studio and independent projects, and, mirroring events like The Game Awards and Summer Game Fest, some exciting world premieres. With an overwhelming influx of new games—over 200 a month just on Steam—it’s our goal to guide you to the cream of the crop.

“At the Future Games Show, we aim to shine a spotlight on the finest upcoming games, emphasizing those hidden gems and groundbreaking indies that might otherwise go unnoticed,” explains Daniel Dawkins, who leads content direction for games video & events at Future.

The newly introduced ‘FGS Live from GDC’ will enhance our coverage, featuring additional trailers, the latest news directly from GDC, and exclusive interviews with developers straight from the event floor. This ensures that even those unable to attend in person will get a taste of the action.

Since its inception in 2020, the Future Games Show has been a thrice-yearly event, with editions in March, June, and August. The shows have seen a variety of hosts, including notable figures such as Christopher Judge, the voice of Kratos, who hosted the August 2022 event. These broadcasts not only feature prominent hosts but also include in-depth interviews with developers, offering viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the featured games.
