Although being setback multiple times by injuries Hubbard continues to fight for the dream he’s had since he was a little kid. Hubbard has his eyes set for what’s to come in 2021. He stated that he was very unsure about what was going to happen, because of everything that has been going on with the corona virus, and the lack of plays he was able to make in his past 4 years. Hence, he is going to keep working hard and plans to have a breakout senior season, which will hopefully put him back on top where was set out to be!

Going into his first year at Wagner, Hubbard didn’t see much playing for the first 3 games due to unknown reasons. He then saw action versus Florida Atlantic University; he is responsible for 8 tackles, 2 TFL’s, and near interception which went down as a pass break up. Hubbard was showing flashes of why he was originally recruited to play at Virginia Tech in the Lunch Pail Defense under the legendary defensive coordinator (Bud Foster.) After breaking out versus FAU, Hubbard found himself playing many more downs for the Seahawks, where he laid 2 massive hits, one on Long Island University QB, Clay Beathard, and Their RB Jake Bofshever. Accounting for 5 tackles, 1 TFL that game. Playing in 3 more games after that, Hubbard was accounted for 29 tackles, 3 TFL’s, and 1 pass break up for the 2019 season. Although those aren’t the glorious numbers we expected out of him, he made the best of what he could, given the lack of play time!

Now, with his senior year arriving closely Hubbard is ready to finally break through and be back on top where he belongs. I expect great things from Hubbard this year and I’m excited to see how he does this years, as its his last go around!
