The Main Events

We Were Liars (Prime Video, Wednesday, 3:01 a.m.)

During a summer on her family’s exclusive island, teenager Cadence Sinclair (Emily Alyn Lind) experiences a severe head injury. She comes back the following summer with gaps in her memory, trying to piece together the incident and the strange behaviors of her family members. Look out for The A.V. Club‘s review of We Were Liars on Monday.


Outrageous (Britbox, Wednesday, 8:01 p.m.)

Set against the backdrop of the 1930s, the period drama Outrageous delves into the lives of the infamous Mitford sisters of Britain, known for their extreme political views that ranged from Nazi support to communism. The A.V. Club will release its review of this six-episode series on Monday.


The Waterfront (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)

In a narrative reminiscent of Yellowstone meets Ozark, the Buckley family operates a fishing business that serves as a front for drug smuggling in North Carolina. The show stars Holt McCallany, Melissa Benoist, Mario Bello, Jake Weary, and Topher Grace. The A.V. Club will publish its review on Thursday.

Hell Motel (AMC+, Tuesday, 3:01 a.m.)

Starring Eric McCormack, this horror anthology series follows ten enthusiasts of true crime who check into the site of an unresolved mass murder that occurred three decades ago. As they begin to die one by one, the survivors must unite to uncover the murderer among them.

Ash (Shudder, Friday, 3:01 a.m.)

In this surreal sci-fi film, astronaut (played by Eiza González) finds herself on an alien planet with her crew dead around her. Battling increasing paranoia, she encounters a man who appears to have come to her rescue. The A.V. Club will offer its insights on the film.
