Sundance to Showcase 90 Films in January, Nearly Half by New Directors

A lot has transformed for Sundance recently. In September, the festival’s co-founder Robert Redford passed away. Additionally, in March, it was announced that the festival will relocate from Park City, Utah to Boulder, Colorado starting in 2027. However, before the move, there’s still one more festival to be held in Utah, with a significant portion of its lineup now public.

Sundance recently unveiled 97 projects selected for its feature film and episodic program. The lineup is impressive; 90 feature films are included, spanning 28 different countries, with 40% directed by first-time filmmakers. Several well-known names are also premiering their latest works, about which there has been much anticipation. Gregg Araki’s new film I Want Your Sex, featuring Olivia Wilde, Cooper Hoffman, Mason Gooding, Chase Sui Wonders, Daveed Diggs, and Charli xcx, will make its global debut at the festival. Charli’s unconventional documentary project The Moment will also premiere, as will Olivia Wilde’s next directorial project, The Invite, in Utah.

The festival will take place from January 22 to February 1, 2026, in both Park City and Salt Lake City. A notable number of the films will also be available online for those unable to attend in person. Tickets for individual screenings will be available starting January 14. Below is a detailed list of all the projects premiering at the festival.
