The Buzz on Sant Jordi Jam

In a celebration of Catalan culture, the second edition of the Sant Jordi Jam has been announced. Set to captivate participants over the first three weeks of April, this game jam encourages creators to immerse themselves in themed game development. Starting on April 1st and wrapping up on the 22nd, enthusiasts can join the creative frenzy via its official itch.io page. The inaugural event saw nearly 40 games crafted, highlighting the vibrant potential of this cultural fest. Last year, we had a chance to chat with co-organizer Américo Ferraiuolo, who shared insights on the jam’s successful launch and some standout games from the event.

Game Delays and Anticipations in Spain

In other news from Spain, the gaming community faced a mix of disappointment and anticipation as the release of Post Trauma was postponed. Initially scheduled for launch on March 31st, the game’s debut has been pushed to April 22nd. This psychological thriller, priced at about fifteen euros, will be available on PC and next-generation consoles. Meanwhile, the game publisher Raw Fury is also gearing up for the release of the much-anticipated Blue Prince, set to hit the shelves on April 10th.

Latest from the Gaming Front

Dreamhaven’s new title, Wildgate, is stirring up interest with its unique blend of multiplayer genres. The game, which includes elements of hero shooters and extraction shooters, along with a touch of Sea of Thieves, involves space pirate teams competing to retrieve a hidden Artifact in a procedurally generated map. The exciting gameplay includes both on-ship and off-ship battles, with teams potentially boarding each other’s vessels. The first team to extract the Artifact wins. A playtest is scheduled for April 10th across PC and consoles, promising a glimpse into this chaotic adventure.
