Are you ready to dive into the latest and most exciting happenings in the gaming world? From the introduction of a new PlayStation studio to the innovative remaking of a classic Atari game, and a peek into the future of fighting games – there’s a lot on the horizon to get hyped about!

Spotlight on New PlayStation Studio: Dark Outlaw Games

Sony’s gaming division has welcomed a new member to its family – Dark Outlaw Games, a studio recently announced but already deep in development. This team includes industry veterans such as Jason Blundell, known for his pivotal role in the Call of Duty series, particularly the zombie modes at Treyarch. Before joining Dark Outlaw Games, Blundell co-founded Deviation Games in 2021, which unfortunately closed last year after a series of layoffs. This new studio is expected to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the PlayStation experience.

Missile Command Delta: A Strategic Revival

Missile Command, one of Atari’s most iconic games, is being reimagined by Mighty Yell (creators of The Big Con) and 13AM Games (known for Runbow). This new version, named Missile Command Delta, transforms the classic into a turn-based strategy game with a narrative layer that has players exploring abandoned military facilities and designing defenses against enemy attacks. Set during the Cold War, this game not only revives the original brand but also enriches it by blending historical elements with aspects of popular Cold War fiction, reminiscent of the movie “WarGames.”

Upcoming Open Beta for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

Fans of fighting games have something special to look forward to as the second open beta for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is set to launch next week. This beta will primarily focus on online play to ensure the game is robust and ready for its official release. Additionally, a training mode will be available for players to hone their skills. The beta will be accessible from March 26 to March 31 on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. The full game, which continues directly from the legendary Garou: Mark of the Wolves, is scheduled for release on April 24.
