New this week

Little Disasters (Paramount+, Wednesday, 12 a.m., series premiere)

This gripping six-part miniseries by Ruth Fowler (known for BBC One’s Rules Of The Game) explores the lives of a group of mothers whose friendship is put to the test after a doctor raises suspicions about an injured child. Diane Kruger, Jo Joyner, Ben Bailey Smith, and Bridgerton’s Shelley Conn feature prominently. The A.V. Club will publish a review on Wednesday. 

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (Netflix, Friday, 3 a.m.)

Rian Johnson delivers another Knives Out mystery set in a quaint town parish, where Daniel Craig’s colorful detective, Benoit Blanc, investigates the mysterious Rev. Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor). The cast includes Andrew Scott, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, and Kerry Washington. For more details, see The A.V. Club’s review.

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues (HBO Max, Friday, 3 a.m.)

Comedy icons Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer, along with director Rob Reiner, reunite for another round in this eagerly anticipated sequel to the beloved mockumentary. Musicians David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls are joined by actual music legends like Elton John and Paul McCartney. See The A.V. Club’s review

Taylor Swift: The End Of An Era (Disney+, Friday, 3 a.m., series premiere)

Pop superstar Taylor Swift commemorates the end of her monumental, 150-show Eras Tour with a six-episode documentary series that dives into the complexities and challenges of staging such a grand venture. Notable appearances include Travis Kelce, Ed Sheeran, and Sabrina Carpenter among others. Stay tuned for upcoming coverage later this week.
