Monster: The Ed Gein Story (Netflix, Friday, 3:01 a.m.)
Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan return with the third installment of their true-crime series Monster, this time focusing on the notorious Ed Gein (Charlie Hunnam), whose horrific acts fueled the plots of Psycho and other films. The series will also feature appearances by Alfred Hitchcock (Tom Hollander) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre director Tobe Hopper (Will Brill).
Chad Powers (Hulu, Tuesday, 12:01 a.m.)
From the minds of Michael Waldron of Loki fame and Glen Powell comes this sports comedy inspired by an unexpected Eli Manning sketch. The show follows a quarterback who tries to revive his career by going undercover and joining a college team in Georgia after a career-ending outburst. Steve Zahn and Toby Huss also star. Murder Before Evensong (Acorn TV, Monday, 3:01 a.m.)
This British mystery, based on a novel by Reverend Richard Coles, stars Matthew Lewis as a priest who finds himself embroiled in a murder investigation when a body is discovered in his church. He’s uniquely positioned to solve the mystery and heal his divided community.
The Sisters Grimm (Apple TV+, Friday, 12:01 a.m.)
In this animated series, two orphaned sisters, descendants of the legendary Brothers Grimm, live in a town populated by fairytale characters and embark on a quest to discover their family’s secrets. The show features voices by Ariel Winter, Laraine Newman, and Abubakar Salim.
