Lucy and the Ghoul Set to Arrive in New Vegas This December
The axiom remains: war never changes. The apocalypse might have initially struck when the bombs fell in 2077, yet as the latest Fallout season two trailer proclaims, “the end of the world isn’t done just yet.” As long as humans inhabit the Wasteland, expect ongoing death, chaos, and devastating explosions.
This harsh reality is all too familiar to Mr. House, the figure the Ghoul (played by Walton Goggins) holds personally responsible for the world’s downfall. The new trailer features the antagonist, portrayed by a mustachioed Justin Theroux, who boasts confidently. “Like you, I excel at my pursuits,” Mr. House asserts to Cooper Howard, the Ghoul’s identity before the war, within his casino stronghold. “And my expertise? I know everything.”
Lucy (Ella Purnell) may still be far from mastering her brutal new environment, but since her days as a sheltered vault dweller in the first season, she’s picked up critical survival skills—such as identifying a Deathclaw, one of the game’s most fearsome creatures, as it threatens her. The trailer also revisits Brother of Steel Maximus (Aaron Moten) and Lucy’s menacing father Hank (Kyle MacLachlan), who makes a dramatic entrance into the glitzy New Vegas donning Maximus’ power armor.
This season promises to be a harsh educational experience for the remaining vault dwellers as well. “Rooted in one of the most celebrated video game franchises, Fallout narrates the tale of the privileged and the deprived in a world where there’s scarcely anything left to possess,” the synopsis states. “Two centuries post-apocalypse, the sheltered inhabitants of opulent fallout shelters must venture back to the radioactive wasteland their forebears abandoned—and they are astounded to find a complex, bizarre, and intensely violent new world awaiting them.”
So, strap on your Pip-Boys and brace for all that New Vegas has to offer. Fallout season two is set to launch on December 17 on Prime Video.
