Identifying and Resolving the Issue
As the AWS team scrambled to address the problem, they discovered that the issue specifically pertained to DynamoDB, a widely-used database service. This malfunction disrupted the database’s ability to instantly store and retrieve data, which in turn affected the services dependent on it.
Amazon engineers worked diligently through the night, and by the early hours, they managed to correct the DNS anomaly. However, they suggested that users might need to clear their DNS cache to resolve lingering connectivity issues fully.
