This Valentine’s Day, Get Ready for Verónica Echegui and Joan Amargós in a Unique Romantic Comedy

As winter casts its long shadow, what better to look forward to than a little bit of love? It’s time to circle the date for some romance, as Apple TV+ is set to deliver a new series that promises to kindle a spark in viewers just in time for Valentine’s Day. Love You To Death, or A Muerte, is a Spanish-language romantic comedy that will premiere on February 5, featuring Goya Award winner Verónica Echegui (Orígenes Secretos) and Joan Amargós (Show Yourself).

According to Apple TV+, Love You To Death “charts the story of the cautious Raúl (Amargós), who reconnects with the free-spirited and newly pregnant Marta (Echegui), after he is diagnosed with heart cancer. They rekindle a friendship that started in their childhood, and as fate draws them closer, they begin to explore their convictions about love. Will the commitment-shy Marta manage to fall in love? And will Raúl find his life’s greatest love?”

While Netflix has become a powerhouse in the U.S. for K-dramas, Apple TV+ is making its mark with Spanish-language offerings. Love You To Death follows the success of Acapulco, the Imagen Award-winning comedy featuring Eugenio Derbez, and Land Of Women, starring actor/producer Eva Longoria. The platform also features Tú También Lo Harías (You Would Do It Too), Familia De Medianoche (Midnight Family), and Las Azules (Women In Blue).

Love You To Death is the brainchild of Goya Award-nominated director Dani de la Orden (Casa En Flames). The show features an ensemble cast including Paula Malia (Valeria), Cristian Valencia (Barcelona Christmas Night), Claudia Melo (Love Is Forever), Roger Coma (Grand Hotel), Joan Solé (Cardo), Julián Villagrán (The Snow Girl) and David Bagés (The Last Night At Tremore Beach). The first two episodes will air on February 5, with subsequent episodes released every Wednesday until March 12. Below are some exclusive first look photos.
