Star of Succession Sarah Snook Shines in a New Show Alongside Jake Lacy, Dakota Fanning, and Michael Peña
It seems like Sarah Snook’s characters are always surrounded by turmoil. Who can forget the moment in Succession when Tom (played by Matthew Macfadyen) bluntly informs Shiv that she might not be suited for motherhood while she’s pregnant? In her latest role as Marissa Irvine in All Her Fault, Snook portrays a mother who faces every parent’s worst nightmare. She arrives to pick up her son Duke McCloud from a playdate, only to be greeted by a confused mother who claims she has never heard of Duke and doesn’t know his whereabouts. Unfortunately, things don’t seem to be looking up for Snook’s characters anytime soon.
The recently released trailer for the Peacock series, based on the novel by Andrea Mara, gives off vibes reminiscent of Broadchurch and Big Little Lies. The series features Marissa alongside characters played by Jake Lacy, Dakota Fanning, Abby Elliott, Daniel Monks, and Jay Ellis. They are depicted living in luxurious homes, sipping wine, harboring devastating secrets, and perhaps engaging in even darker deeds. Michael Peña, portraying a detective, ominously notes at the end of the trailer, “These nice people… killing each other.”
Following the conclusion of Succession, Snook has taken on several notable roles, including a Tony-winning performance in The Picture Of Dorian Gray on Broadway. She has also recently become a mother. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, she humorously reflected on her roles, saying, “To be pregnant in one show and then have your child go missing in another—let’s hope that’s not the typical motherhood experience.” She added that her real-life experiences as a mother have brought new depth and understanding to her performances, helping her connect with her roles on a deeper level than before.
Audiences can discover the decisions Marissa makes when all eight episodes of All Her Fault debut on November 6 on Peacock.
