At New York City Comic-Con, AMC Teases ‘Talamasca’ and Unveils a New Take on Interview With The Vampire

The world of Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe on AMC is progressing well, even if the reception to its latest series, Mayfair Witches, has been lukewarm. Nevertheless, the network seems to have a solid grasp on what its fans desire from the so-called Interview With A Vamp-iverse, highlighted by Eric Bogosian’s delightfully irate performances. This insight was evident from a fresh glimpse into the forthcoming series Talamasca: The Secret Order revealed at New York Comic-Con this past Friday.

In a newly released clip, we see Daniel Molloy (played by Bogosian) confronting new character Guy Anatole (portrayed by Nicholas Denton) over why Molloy brought up Anatole’s mother in his controversial bestseller which details his accidental transformation into a vampire. The scene underscores the ease of interviewing evasive characters when you can read their thoughts, though the real challenge appears to be how many times Bogosian can utter “Talamasca” before it sounds absurd. (He even throws in a “Dodgson! We’ve got Dodgson here!” line for good measure.)

During the same panel, AMC also premiered an extended sneak peek at the third season of Interview With The Vampire, now rebranded as The Vampire Lestat to signify its progression through Rice’s original novels. The footage shows star Sam Reid embodying the ultimate vampire rock star lifestyle—complete with blood, parties, and tension with his former lover Louis amid what appears to be contemporary legal strife. (And yes, more Bogosian—much more.) Additionally, AMC announced new cast members for the upcoming season, including Sheila Atim from The Woman King, who will portray the infamous Akasha, also known as the Queen Of The Damned.

Talamasca: The Secret Order is set to premiere on October 26, while The Vampire Lestat is slated for release sometime in 2026.
