WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is developing a new feature that will let group administrators on WhatsApp remove messages for group members as well.
Every time an admin deletes a specific message, a user will get the notice “This was deleted by an admin,” according to WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo.
In a future release of WhatsApp beta for Android, “if you are a group admin, you will be able to remove any message for everyone in your groups,” WABetaInfo tweeted.
The WhatsApp tracker included a screenshot with the tweet that demonstrates how an Android user will see a message that has been erased by the group
admin. It would be simpler for group administrators to eliminate offensive or disagreeable communications once it was implemented.
Additionally, WhatsApp is working on adding two-step authentication to its online and desktop applications.
In a future update, WhatsApp intends to add the two-step verification capability to the desktop and browser versions, according to WABetaInfo.
In order to register your phone number with WhatsApp, a unique PIN is required. This feature is currently accessible on the mobile app.
WhatsApp Group Admins to get More Power
After the introduction of ephemeral messages last year, the new functionality will represent a significant change for the instant messaging system. Once the
feature is available, administrators of WhatsApp groups will be given the ability to moderate discussions in addition to having the authority to kick anyone out
of the group. The change appears to be made in order to provide group administrators additional authority so that they can manage the material flow within their groups.
In addition, the messaging software intends to give users 2 days and 12 hours to erase a message from their accounts. A later update will include access to this
feature. However, the date of the same’s release has not been officially confirmed.
Emoji reactions are a new feature that WhatsApp users can use to respond to their friends and family members’ status updates. It resembles those that can be
seen on other social networking websites, such as Facebook and Instagram. Users will be able to respond to messages using the six emoticons Like, Love,
Laugh, Surprised, Thanks, and Sad thanks to the feature called message reaction.

In order to safeguard users, WhatsApp is also providing new privacy controls. Apps from unapproved third parties are no longer able to see your last seen and
online status. The messaging app is also developing a feature that would let users limit who may see their profile photo and “Last Seen” information, among other things.
