Players have had plenty of opportunities to dive into PUBG New State, Krafton’s latest mobile battle royale game, since its debut a month ago. The first big post-launch update for the newest PUBG installment, New State, has arrived, and it brings with it a number of new features and weapons, such as the PUBG New State L85A3.
Major Revision
While the first big patch for the game since launch doesn’t include a tonne of new features, such as the PUBG New State L85A3, it does add enough to keep players interested enough to come back and check out what’s new. One new weapon, the PUBG New State L85A3 assault rifle, has been added to the game. Since the futuristic mobile battle royale game, this AR is the first weapon we’ve received, so it’s very potent in its own right.
As expected, the PUBG New State L85A3 is a Bullpup assault rifle that fires 5.56mm ammunition. What sets this assault rifle apart from others in the 5.56mm ammo class, though, is its exceptionally high damage over time.
The PUBG New State L85A3 is not only the deadliest weapon in its class but also a long-range monster, making it a formidable opponent in both close-quarters and long-range engagements.
While the New State L85A3 in PUBG has a lot going for it, making it a viable option for use in matches, it does have one major drawback. The reason is, that its fire rate is modest for a weapon of its type.
Therefore, something much faster or more suited to close-range engagements, where this gun will suffer significantly, should be coupled with it. Both the Erangel and Troi battle royale maps will see players picking up and using this gun.
The PUBG New State L85A3 AR and some updated gun modification options have been published. The new assault rifle comes with a vertical foregrip bipod, which serves as both a foregrip and a bipod. In return for a decreased ADS speed, this will lessen recoil and make it more manageable while crouched or prone.
The M416 now has a longer barrel accessory available. Damage is increased at the expense of worse vertical recoil. The SLR’s new 5.56mm barrel converts to a different type of ammunition and improves accuracy at the expense of some of the weapon’s overall damage potential.
Recently Released Automobiles
This huge update adds only one new weapon, but two new cars, so you may drive around Erangel and Troi in style in the year 2051. The Electron is a minibus that can transport up to six players and is the first of these two options.
It’s larger and heavier than most vehicles, so it can take more punishment before succumbing to damage, making it helpful for large squads in the field. Having six seats means that even with a full party of four players, they can exchange seats mid-ride to get the best possible vantage angles.
An Updated Survivor Pass and Some New Features
The second survivor pass has been added to PUBG New State as per the latest patch. Bella, a member of the Dream Runners, is the main attraction of this particular seasonal pass. After completing unique story missions, players will gain access to all of Bella’s outfits.
For those who would rather not spend real money or game currency on the new survivor pass, additional rewards are available in the form of BP chests for use with the free pass. All of the seasonal decorations in the lobby have been taken down and replaced with more appropriate ones.
Currently, PUBG New State’s lobby has a new winter-themed background and soundtrack to go along with the holiday celebration vibe. The BP convenience shop has also been changed for the season, and it now features a decor that is reminiscent of a winter carnival.
The first big update to the game since its release includes not just the aforementioned tweaks, but also a slew of fixes, upgrades, and new features. Among these is fixing some of the visual problems we pointed out in our assessment. As part of this process, the grass on Troi, as well as the overall visual quality, will be updated.
In addition, the report option is now permanently displayed in Team Deathmatch, making it easier than ever to report hackers, cheats, and toxic individuals. All the other tweaks and fixes that went into this release can be seen over here.
