A comedy starring Ryan Reynolds and set in an online game universe, Free Man will be available on Disney+ Hotstar on October 15th. A month after its release in India, it hasn’t even made it to the top of the Indian box office. On Disney+ Hotstar, Free Man will be available in two more languages, Tamil and Telugu, in addition to English and Hindi.
This is very welcome news for the Tamil and Telugu-speaking audiences. Everyone in Maharashtra, whose cinemas are closed till October 22, will benefit from the debut of Free Man’s Disney+ Hotstar service.
Earlier on Thursday, Disney+ Hotstar tweeted, “Heroes are nice, but we’d want a Man like [Ryan Reynolds] to come to save our planet,” prompting speculation that The Greatest Showman would be coming to the streaming service soon.
As expected, fans began requesting confirmation and a date for the product’s release. Free Man will be available on Disney+ Hotstar on October 15th! However, it failed to mention Free Man’s multilingual support. The Free Man clip, which can be seen on Disney+ Hotstar, reveals this to be the case.

Free Man was first released in theatres around the world in mid-August
Including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. While Disney has previously released the likes of Black Widow and Jungle Cruise simultaneously in theatres and on Disney+ Premier Entry, it couldn’t do this with Free Man because the title was part of the 20th Century Fox pact and couldn’t be released on both platforms at the same time.
As of late September, following the expiration of the 45-day theatrical window, Disney+ in Singapore and the UK began streaming Free Man, and as of today, it is now available on Disney+ Hotstar in India as well.
