According to MySmartPrice, WhatsApp will soon include a function that Telegram has long had. A future version of WhatsApp should have the option to create polls in group chats, which WhatsApp is currently working on.
Test Polls for Group Chats on Whats App
In order to reach a decision or learn what your friends think of an idea, polls are a terrific approach to connect with a big group of people. This feature has been available on Telegram, a well-known instant messaging software, for some time, and now WhatsApp is testing it before rolling it out to all users.
The feature was initially spotted by WABetaInfo in WhatsApp for iOS beta version 2.22.6.70. The functionality is not yet accessible to public beta testers because it is still being developed.
Only WhatsApp groups will have access to the poll option, and everything about it—including the responses from other users—will be end-to-end encrypted. In essence, end-to-end encryption, which is a characteristic that WhatsApp is well known for, will be present for the poll function as well. This essentially means that the poll and its results will only be accessible to group members.
As shown in the screenshot, a new user interface will appear with a text area for your question, a Create button, and a Cancel button. The maximum number of choices, whether there will be any limits on the number of responses, or how long you will be able to vote on a poll are all unknowns as this feature is still under development.
Additionally, no formal release date has been set for this feature because it is still in beta testing. As is customary, beta users will get to experience this feature before it is made available to the entire public as WhatsApp works to fix any flaws and enhance it.
The Company Whats App Is Actively Working on Additional Features as Well
The poll feature is now only available in the popular chat app’s iOS version, but that doesn’t mean an Android version won’t have it as well. WhatsApp has been experimenting with a variety of other helpful features in the meanwhile. Let’s have a look at the newest features that the chat app is now testing.
Currently, using WhatsApp to search through your messages requires finding a specific chat or group chat window, tapping on the three-dot menu, and then using the search function. However, it appears that the program will soon receive an update that makes it easier to search for a message.
A new search shortcut is added in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.22.6.3 to address this problem. Although it sounds similar to WhatsApp’s current search solution, it differs in that it lets you do searches directly from the information page for private contacts and groups rather than needing to visit the group or conversation where you believe the message was received.
