iOS 16.4 was published by Apple on March 27, 2023. The update introduced a number of changes, including the ability to enable push notifications for web apps, enhancements to Apple Podcast and Apple Music’s UI and UX, voice isolation for mobile calls, and more. However, the arrival of 21 new emojis was the feature that many people were most looking forward to in iOS 16.4.
With Unicode 15.0, these emojis were first released in September 2022. For those who don’t know, the Unicode Consortium is made up of numerous large IT firms, including Apple, Google, Meta, etc. Everyone in this group has agreed to follow a set of norms and guidelines that, in turn, guarantee uniformity. Let’s have a look at the 21 new emojis and learn what they symbolize now that they are finally available on iOS 16.4, iPadOS 16.4, and macOS 13.3.
Actions

- Shaking Face
- Rightwards Pushing Hand
- Leftwards Pushing Hand
The new expression emoji is called Shaking Face. In place of the shocked emoji, you could use this one to convey shock. Or you might use it to describe how it feels to experience an earthquake or a number of road rumblers. I’ve only recently started using it, but I already feel like it’s taking over my recently used emojis tab.
The other two action emojis are Rightwards Pushing Hand and Leftwards Pushing Hand. Both of these come in six different color combinations. (skin tones). The Person with Folded Hands emoji is frequently used as a high-five symbol. We can finally utilize the Rightwards Pushing Hand and Leftwards Pushing Hand to high-five our buddies as they are the ideal substitutes for this.
Animals and Nature

- Moose
- Donkey
- Goose
- Wing
- Black Bird
- Jellyfish
- Hyacinth
- Ginger root
- Pea Pod
In iOS 16.4, the Animals and Nature category now includes nine additional emojis. Instead of going out and killing real animals to use as trophies, hunters could utilize the Moose emoji, I suppose. You may also send a donkey emoji to those who don’t get your jokes. The Goose emoji is also really adorable.
Additionally, the Did it hurt when you fell from heaven, because you’re an angel, pickup line frequently calls for the Wings emoji. I’m also unsure of whether the Black Bird emoji represents a crow or a mynah.
You might use the jellyfish emoji as slang for spineless people because it is an invertebrate. Since the hyacinth emoji represents a flower, I won’t suggest any uses for it. In addition, there are two more emojis that you might use to replace the two peas in a pod expression: a ginger root and a pea pod.
Objects

- Gray Heart
- Light Blue Heart
- Pink Heart
- Folding Hand Fan
- Maracas
- Flute
- Hair Pick
- Khanda
- Wireless
The much-anticipated Pink Heart emoji has really arrived on iOS with the iOS 16.4 update. The real and unromantic affection shown by the Pink Heart emoji is frequently used. The Light Blue Heart stands for friendship or trust, whereas the Gray Heart is symbolic of empathetic love. Or perhaps your crush has simply stopped being your friend.
The Folding Hand Fan emoji can also be used to request someone send you a beautiful hand fan from Japan if you are just a fan of a particular artist or prominent person. The Maracas and the Flute emojis can be used to represent music and dance, respectively.
The Hair Pick emoji is subtler than it appears to be. hairpins are more than simply a symbol of grooming; they also serve as a cultural statement and a show of support for equality. Searching is another meaning of the English word combing.
The Khanda emoji is a distinctively Sikhism-related cultural icon. The Wireless emoji is simply a Wi-Fi icon, to finish.
