The Instagram camera is accessed by opening the app, swiping left to see further options, and finally selecting the magnifying glass symbol (Browse Effects).
To use, simply select a filter by tapping on it, or swipe through the tabs at the app’s header. You can use the magnifying glass icon to do a search for a certain person or term.

When you’re satisfied with the filter, tap the OK button to store it. To access the new filter, return to the camera and swipe right on the icons at the bottom of the screen.
