Twitter is now testing an editing function that will allow users to make changes to tweets up to 30 minutes after they have been published while also allowing viewers to read older versions of the same tweet.
According to Twitter, users have “a few opportunities” to revise their tweets within 30 minutes.

It will be made evident that the tweets have been edited by including an icon, time stamp, and label. Users can see previous iterations of the tweet by tapping the label, which will link them to the tweet’s edit history.

Currently, in beta testing, the feature will be made available to Twitter Blue users later this month. Twitter has announced that initially, only one country will participate in the test.
Twitter Blue grants users in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand access to features like the “undo” function, which allows them to retract a tweet within 60 seconds before it goes public.
According to the blog post, out of Twitter’s almost 238 million monthly active users, an edit button was the most wanted addition. They recommend that people make use of this “limited period of time to do things like edit typos, add missed tags, and more,” as the business put it.
