Nearly the previous two weeks, Garena has banned over 1.3 million accounts for hacking, according to the company’s announcement. In total, there are now 1,335,831 banned accounts. One hundred and eighty-two thousand more accounts were banned for collaborating with hackers. According to Garena, after receiving allegations from gamers, they banned half of the accounts in question.
Justification for Being Banned from Garena Free Fire
According to Garena, teleportation hacks accounted for 28% of banned accounts and auto-aim hackers accounted for 62%. Only 3% of the banned accounts employed the Thru wallhack, while 2% used the Antenna exploit. A percentage of banned accounts (5%) were found to have used a variety of hacks.
The Reaction of Garena Free Fire
According to Garena, the service has improved its anti-hack procedures and detection techniques. A Garena representative said last year that the company uses “our screening technology and community reports” as part of its anti-cheat policy. The corporation is “refining” its anti-cheating toolbox all the time, according to the spokeswoman.
The spokesman for Garena mentioned the company’s rigorous policies on hacking occurrences throughout the interview. “We will not tolerate anything that compromises the honesty and fairness of our game. If an amateur or professional player is caught cheating, they will be banned indefinitely. Furthermore, the representative told Digit, “Professional players and their entire teams caught cheating will be immediately disqualified from our events.”
AYUSH, a member of team Old Skool, was allegedly discovered hacking during a qualifying tournament for the Garena Free Fire India Championship 2021. A Facebook post claims that the game’s anti-hacking technology eventually caught up with him. Consequently, the whole squad was booted from the competition. More so, the offending player’s account will be locked for a whole year. From our earlier discussion with Garena, it is clear that AAYUSH’s chances of successfully appealing and having his ban lifted are slim.
