A user in Destiny 2 has found a way to “cheat” the new Exotic quest for Revision Zero, which requires the new Exotic pulse weapon to accomplish, in less than 24 hours after the quest became online.
Since the beginning of Season of the Seraph in Destiny 2, players have speculated as to the origin of the dozens of invulnerable, floaty yellow drones that have arrived in different areas. The new Destiny 2 Revision Zero Exotic weapon is required to destroy them, as revealed by yesterday’s objective.
Locating and destroying all 50 guard drones in Destiny 2 earns you a shiny new sparrow as a reward. It’s impossible to finish… legitimately, because not all of them are truly available at the present.
Lots of gamers quickly found ways around the Seraph station’s more insurmountable drones, such as employing a heavy sword with the Eager Edge trait to lunge past several laser barriers without taking damage.
Yet Bungie likely has many more drones stashed away behind closed doors, which they plan to reveal in stages as the season unfolds. As can be seen in the video embedded below, uploaded by user ‘Esoterickk,’ the drones can be heard whirring around behind the doors but are legitimately out of reach.
Reddit user ‘SliderDoesGamin’ offers further evidence that players of Destiny 2 are the world’s greatest experts on video game cheese.
Ricochet Rounds, a type of magazine that can be obtained by levelling up Revision Zero and applied via crafting, are the key element here, as they describe in a post discovered by the ‘Destiny Bulletin. We have no idea how Ricochet Rounds gets through them, but SliderDoesGamin promises a how-to video in the near future.
They show screenshots of a completed triumph and a brand new Archangel’s Refit sparrow, which can be obtained by killing 50 drones, to demonstrate that the exploit is indeed effective.
There are fifty lights on a panel within the Seraph station, close to a locked door; these lights will begin to glow if you locate and destroy a drone. Having completed the victory with SliderDoesGamin, they may now also expose what was hiding beyond the closed door. There may be exciting things hidden behind that door, but for the time being, it’s simply another locked door.
Cheese has always been an integral part of the Destiny 2 community, and I’m sure Bungie is sick of seeing its hard work undone by in-game exploits.
To be a law-abiding Guardian and finish the victory the right way, you’ll have to hold off until later in Season of the Seraph. While you wait, take a look at some of the most effective weapons in Destiny 2 for player vs environment content like Nightfalls, raids, and the new dungeon.
