Destiny 2: Cast in Iron Quest Steps to Get Iron Remembrance Armor, Point of The Stag Bow

Posted on June 27, 2022 By Mike Brown No Comments on Destiny 2: Cast in Iron Quest Steps to Get Iron Remembrance Armor, Point of The Stag Bow

We have a new Iron Banner quest for you this week, so let’s see what you’ll be doing.
Next Tuesday is your last chance to get back into Iron Banner if the return of Trials wasn’t enough for you. The long-awaited Point of the Stag Bow will finally be yours at the end of this adventure. With a Precision Frame with a longer draw time, the damage it can inflict is significantly increased. As a Vorpal Weapon, it deals extra damage to bosses, vehicles, and guardians who have activated their special.

People are going to be annoyed when they are one-shotted out of their Super and into the Void during PvP bouts. Nice.

Cast in Iron can be found by going to Saladin’s Tower and completing the mission there. It’s important to keep in mind that in the Iron Banner, your prior victories and completed matches count toward your overall advancement.

Highlights:

Destiny 2‘s Iron Banner introduces a new quest called Cast in Iron that will reward players with the Iron Remembrance armor set and the Point of the Stag bow. The former is a returning armor set from season 4, updated this time around with the new Armor 2.0 changes, and the latter is the Season of the Worthy’s only ritual weapon.

The Iron Banner will run from now until March 31’s weekly reset, but Destiny 2 players do not have to complete this all at once. There will be more events throughout this season that give players the chance to score this armor and bow, which will likely be beneficial to some. As with most major Destiny 2 quests, this is by no means a walk in the park.

This Iron Banner quest also comes with an additional goody: Point of the Stag, a Legendary bow the season’s only Ritual weapon. Ritual weapons are unique, Masterworked weapons you can only earn through completing lengthy quests, so if you like bows, the Point of the Stag will be worth your time.

For the longest time, guardians would only play just enough Iron Banner to claim their Pinnacle rewards, but with these changes, Bungie hopes Iron Banner will once again become a community-favorite mode.

Cast in Iron Step 1: Super Smelting

  • 3 Super Kills
  • 30 Opponents Defeated
  • 10 Zones Captured

Simple and straightforward, the first step in Season of the Worthy’s Iron Banner quest is to get kills, capture zones, and earn 3 super kills. Destiny 2 players should be able to do the latter while working on the first two, so choose a Super that’s easy to get kills with. Completing this step rewards the Iron Remembrance class item.

20 Zones Captured in 6 Matches

Final Blows with a 25-Hand Cannon

One thing to keep in mind as you progress through this quest in Destiny 2 is that these milestones add up. As a result, the last step’s matches and the 10 captured zones contribute towards these. This means that the best strategy for Destiny 2 players is to focus on the Hand Cannon final blows rather than focusing on the other aspects of gameplay. Obtaining the Iron Remembrance gauntlets is a reward of completing this phase.

Cast in Iron Step 3: Heat the Barrels

A total of one hundred Iron Banner opponents were eliminated.

There were a total of 30 captures

The final blows of 30 SMGs.

Again, the new weapon should be the only thing on the minds of players here. Final Blows with SMGs are all that’s required this time around in Destiny 2. The Iron Remembrance leg armor is given as a prize for this phase.

Cast in Iron Step 4: Harness the Elements

There were a total of fifteen “Super Kills.”

Captured Zones: 40

15 Final Shots with the Fusion Rifle

With fusion rifles, players should now focus on gaining Super and Final Blows; Special Ammo Finder mods will make this process much easier. Having ammo on hand will make this phase a lot easier for D2 gamers. The Iron Remembrance chest armor is now available.

Cast in Iron Step 6: Polish the Armor

10 Last-Ditch Bow Attacks

Matches Played: 15

The Capture of Fifty Zones

All players must concentrate on bows as the rest of the inventory fills up. Quickly switching between weapons is a useful strategy, as Final Blows must be used. With the Iron Remembrance helmet, Destiny 2 players will be on their journey to the last reward, The Point of the Stag.

Destiny 2 Iron Banner armor sets (per season)

Iron Banner armor generally comes with high stat armors, but even if the sets you collected weren’t impressive stats-wise, they will certainly be useful now that Transmog is a thing.

These are all the Iron Banner armor sets that have been offered since the release of Shadowkeep in 2019:

Season 11 Iron Fellowship
Season 10 Iron Remembrance
Season 9 Iron Triage
Season 8 Iron Will

As you can see, the situation of having the same old armor sets every season is becoming harder to swallow, especially when some excellent Iron Banner sets from Destiny 1 could be easily recycled instead. Granted, The Witch Queen did introduce several armor sets, but more new Iron Banner sets would be much appreciated.

In case you’re curious, these are all the Iron Banner armor sets (2.0 versions) available in Destiny 2:
