China is launching a 435.5km Lhasa-Nyingchi bullet train section. It is located close to Arunachal Pradesh and a border with India-China. The journey from Chengdu, China to Lhasa will take less than 48 hours due to this project. The section was inaugurated in celebration of the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Lhasa is the Provincial Capital, and Nyingchi is strategically located on the Tibetan border, close to Arunachal Pradesh. PTI reported Friday that the news had been confirmed. The second railway to be built in Situan-Tibet will be the Qinghai–Tibet railway. Xi Jinping, China’s President, stated that the fully electrified railway line would help to protect the border between India and China. It is well-known that China claims Arunachal Pradesh as a part of Tibet. India strongly rejects this claim. The distance between the disputed borders is 3,488 Kms. This project is for China to provide strategic materials and convenience during the Ind-China border crisis.
