After announcing a new product launch event for September 7 at the Steve Jobs Theater, Apple has all but confirmed that we will see the next generation of flagship iPhone models.
Read on to find out that Apple has scheduled an iPhone-centric launch event for September 7 (despite the title’s “far out” designation).
We can’t recall a prior instance where Apple had a September event so early in the month, and, given that the event is still over two weeks away, this may be the earliest the firm has ever indicated it will be holding an event of this type.
But other than those details, we don’t expect this to be an out-of-the-ordinary occurrence. We anticipate that on September 7, Apple will announce new iPhone and Apple Watch models at their annual September event.
These are the kinds of things we anticipate hearing at the event, along with some announcements about which we think you should keep your expectations in check.
A New Generation of Phones: The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro
Two long-requested features are among the new additions to the iPhone 14 Pro this year.
The two most noticeable modifications are the elimination of the camera notch at the top of the screen in favor of something approximating a punch hole, and the addition of always-on screen functionality, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy flagships and many other high-end Android phones.
Additional enhancements may include a speedier A16 SoC, a larger and improved 48-megapixel back-wide camera with 8K video capture capability, and updated features in the front-facing camera.
