There are several different services included in Apple’s subscription offerings. It includes Apple Music, Apple News+, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and Apple
Fitness+. But according to a recent claim, Apple may be attempting to compete with Netflix, Disney, and Amazon by providing a subscription service for
audiobooks. There is reportedly talk of an audiobooks service for later this year, according to a story from The Economist.
However, talk in the business about Apple implies that the report is definitely accurate. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple will likely provide
more services in 2022. He draws the conclusion that Apple will “extend the Apple One program and better integrate services” without speculating on what
those services might be.
“Apple will need to offer better bundle packages and better integrate its numerous distinct offers in 2022 and beyond,” Gurman writes in his analysis. “To get as much value out of its services.”
HIGHLIGHTS
- Apple could introduce its audiobooks into a subscription service in 2022.
- It could offer this into an Apple One subscription to offer better value to users.
- There is no official confirmation on the audiobooks service yet.It looks like Apple is currently planning to move away from audiobooks and toward a subscription service. Although Apple has not confirmed this publicly, it is
believed that the corporation may have plans to launch its audiobook subscription service before the end of 2022.
“Over the past few years, Apple has placed smaller bets on the media, such as Arcade, a subscription gaming service, News+, a group that distributes content,
and Fitness+, which provides video aerobics classes. A study from The Economist stated that there is talk of an audiobooks service in the not too distant future.
As the business would have plans to include this into an Apple One subscription to provide better value to its customers, this seems legitimate. In order to
create fierce competition among the major video streaming platforms, Apple shifted course in 2019 and began focusing on providing external support services
like Apple TV+. Later, the company increased the number of services it offered and added more subscription-based ones.
It Could Offer This Into Apple One Subscription to Offer Better Value to Users
Currently, all users need to do is subscribe to Apple One, a package that includes services like Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, iCloud, and Apple Arcade. It’s
possible that the company may soon offer its audiobooks as part of a subscription service, making it simpler for customers to get them at a low cost rather than having to buy each one separately.

There Is No Official Confirmation on Audiobooks Service Yet
If this turns out to be true, Apple will then be seen competing with Amazon’s Audible, one of the established companies in this market. The Apple Books app
currently has audiobooks available from the Cupertino company. While there are many choices that are comparable to Audible in terms of well-known titles,
Amazon’s online audiobook and podcast platform have more original and superior content selections.
There is a risk that Apple won’t immediately begin offering audiobooks and imitate Spotify’s actions. The business might add audiobooks to a different section
of its music streaming service. Users are cautioned to take this with a grain of salt since nothing is confirmed as of yet. The cited source makes no specific
claims but suggests that the audiobooks service may become available soon.
