Acorn TV, a streaming service owned by AMC Networks, will debut in the UK at the end of April and feature weekly exclusive new programming.
From Wednesday, British viewers will have access to the SVOD, which leans toward UK material but also offers foreign fare. It features dramas,
mysteries, and comedy. It will have a 30-day free trial upon launch, be accessible on all devices, and cost £4.99 ($6) per month or £49.99 annually.
The streamer will debut in the UK with the home premiere of its original series Queens Of Mystery, along with programmes including Foyle’s War, the Agatha
Christie adaption And Then There Were None, and Keeping Faith. The streamer has amassed more than one million paid subscribers in the US.
Acorn TV will also air the ITV drama Girlfriends, the detective thriller Harry from New Zealand, the historical drama The Bletchley Circle, and the Scandinavian crime drama Black Widows in April, among many other shows.
Every Monday, the streamer, which is also accessible in Latin America, will add fresh, unique programming.
