Amazon Pay ICICI Fas Tag LauncheAd by ICICI Bank: Here’s how It Works

A co-branded FASTag from ICICI Bank and Amazon Pay may be ordered, tracked, and recharged via the Amazon Pay app. Since February 16, 2021, the government has mandated that all automobiles have a FASTag. Customers who buy with cash must pay twice as much.

FASTags are frequently applied to the windshields of automobiles. Because they are RFID-enabled (Radio Frequency Identification), they may be detected by a toll booth scanner, which will immediately deduct the appropriate toll from the user. Theoretically, there is no need for traffic to stop or line up.

The ordering process for the tag via Amazon Pay is quite straightforward. However, you’ll require an Amazon Pay account.

First, open the Amazon app and navigate to the Amazon Pay page. When you arrive, look for and select the “Recharge & Buy Fastag” button, which is located beneath the Recharge area.

The next screen will be displayed after you click the yellow “Buy Amazon Pay ICICI FASTag” button. This should launch your phone’s browser and bring up an ICICI Bank website.

Once there, fill out the form with your information and that of your car. After that, complete the payment and use an OTP to confirm your mobile number. The purchase will be made.

Users of the tag can also receive a Rs 100 fee waiver as part of a launch promotion that runs until March 31, 2022. Additionally, Amazon Prime subscribers can receive 1% cash back on all purchases up to Rs 1500 every month.

FASTags have been implemented by more than 615 toll booths operated by the NHAI (National Highways Authority of India) and more than 100 toll booths located on state highways. It’s anticipated that the number will keep rising.
