The patch, which was released today for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, is intended to enhance aesthetics and performance, as well as offer new content and features.
However, after the update went live, PC users have reported a variety of technical difficulties, which CD Projekt has now recognised.
The development company acknowledged the problems PC gamers have been having since the upgrade went live Tuesday night.
We are looking into each and every report, and as soon as we have more information we will share it with you. Please be assured that your patience is much appreciated.
While the team is trying to fix the difficulties PC gamers have been reporting, having the newest NVIDIA drivers loaded may help with some of the problems you’re facing, said CD Projekt Red worldwide community director Marcin Momot.
After a long development cycle and a change in studios, the PC, Xbox One X/S, and PS5 versions of the next-gen update are now available for purchase, while those on older systems can get the patch for free.
Updates to the game’s visuals have been detailed by developer CD Projekt, and they include things like ray tracing global illumination and ambient occlusion, enhanced screen space reflections and foliage, refined textures, and support for both FSR 2.1 and DLSS 3.
Along with “a different camera option that’ll put you closer to the action,” a photo mode, quest improvements, and downloadable content based on the Netflix show, this update also includes a number of bug patches.
Now that cross-progression has been implemented, players can take their most recent save data with them while switching platforms. You can watch a preview of the update up top, and the complete patch notes are available here.
