As night falls over the UK, it’s my turn, Rollin Bishop, the US Managing Editor, to steer the ship through the remainder of today’s State of Play. Relax, and let’s entertain the thought of a potential new Digimon game, tentatively titled “Digimon Story Time Stranger,” especially if the GameStop placeholder page that’s buzzing online holds any truth.
What Xbox title would you be excited to see on the PS5? Perhaps a particular Bethesda space RPG is on your wishlist?
Rumors suggest that Hellblade 2 might be the next Xbox title to make its way to PlayStation, possibly sooner than later. Recent statements from Xbox head Phil Spencer, who mentioned he’s open to platform crossover since exclusivity isn’t a beneficial strategy for them, support this idea. In case you missed it, Fromsoftware has announced a release date for its Elden Ring spin-off, Nightreign, set for May 30. Not only that, but they also have plans for DLC content for this roguelike adventure in the Lands Between.
Hopefully, the buzz around the big showcase isn’t just about the viral demise of the Duolingo mascot.
